About Us

Intro Video

(We don't have one yet so enjoy this video instead)

"We're all in this together" are the words we say to one another every week to remind each other that no one is alone but we are one family united together in Christ. Our hope for the youth is that through fellowship, accountability and discipleship the youth will reflect Christ’s prayer found in John 17. Just as the Father, Son, and Spirit are one, that we as believers would be one so when the world sees us they will know God’s love.

VISION: Overflow with God's love
"And God is able to make all grace overflow to you so that because you have enough of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work."
2 Corinthians 9:8 (NET)

Our History

Living Water Evangelical Church has a total attendance of over 900 people.

Currently, there are over 500 attendees in the Mandarin Congregation with 2 Worship Services, 80 adults in the English Adult Congregation, over a hundred youth in the youth ministry, and over a hundred children in the children ministry.

In September 2002, a local church by the name of Living Water Church combined with CCMC and became one family in Christ.

In 2003, LWEC purchased the land located at 75th Street and Wehrli Road, which was the original location of the former Living Water Church. The church building project began on October 2006.On January 1, 2008 Chinese Christian Mandarin Church separated into two independent churches, blessing each other in expanding one’s own ministry. The sister church officially chose a new name: “Living Water Evangelical Church.” In November 2009, the building was completed and a dedication service was held.

In 2000, the church had grown to the point where the attendance on Sunday exceeded the capacity of the church building.

In response to the rapid growth of Chinese families in the west suburbs of Chicago, Chinese Christian Mandarin Church decided to start a second location for Sunday worship service in Naperville to serve the neighboring families. In the same year on September, the church sent out thirty volunteering families and rented Lincoln Junior High School to host Sunday worship service. These families and members dedicated themselves in passionately spreading the gospel and serving one another with love.

Living Water Evangelical Church finds its roots from Chinese Christian Mandarin Church.

Chinese Christian Mandarin Church was established in 1972, by God’s guidance the congregation continued to grow.

Name & Affliation

LIVING WATER EVANGELICAL CHURCH (LWEC) is a non-denominational church that is administratively independent and is governed by its elected Board of Deacons (BOD).
This church and its congregation believe in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the saving grace of God through Jesus Christ, the virgin birth, the substitutionary death, the bodily resurrection and the visible return of our Lord. We believe that the Holy Scripture is the Word of God and the perfect rule for faith, creed and conduct.
The purpose of this church is to unite believers with the Lord in worship, fellowship and spiritual edification. Our mission is to propagate the Gospel according to the Scripture. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we assume our Christian responsibility in love and charity. We achieve this goal by focusing yearly on one of the four areas of spiritual growth: Evangelism, Caring, Education, and Missions.

Holy Baptism: Only those who accept Jesus Christ as His personal Savior may receive the Holy Baptism.

Holy Communion: Only those who are saved and have submitted to Holy Baptism may partake in the Holy Communion.

Sunday Worship: All believers should come before our Lord every Sunday to sing praise and worship Him and receive His Grace.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
